Leigh Leopards win Challenge Cup in Golden Point at Wembley

In the most dramatic fashion, Leigh Leopards edged a feisty, controversial contest in Golden Point against Hull KR as Lachlan Lam won his side the Challenge Cup.

The win means Adrian Lam has been successful in successive showcase events after winning the 1895 Cup at Tottenham just over a year ago.

The winning point came in the fourth minute of Golden Point after Hull KR levelled the scores with second of normal time remaining.

Saints storm past Leeds to win third Women’s Challenge Cup in a row

St Helens Women made it three Challenge Cup wins in a row as they were named 2023 winners with a 22-8 win against Leeds Rhinos at Wembley.

It was a historic clash with it being the first Women’s final to be held at Wembley alongside the Men’s final and the 1895 Cup final respectively.

And with the women’s final raising the curtain on the day’s action under the arch, the performance certainly raised a few eyebrows and justified exactly why this fixture was included in the showcase event.

Wigan Warriors look to make it back-to-back Super League wins at Magic Weekend

In what is still a huge weekend in the Rugby League calendar, Magic Weekend is upon us as all Super League sides travel to the North-East where six games will be played at the impressive St James’ Park Stadium.

In what will be the second game of the first day, Wigan Warriors take on French giants Catalan Dragons at 3:45pm, with Wigan looking to make it consecutive Super League wins following their dramatic win over Hull KR last Thursday.

Unbelievable drama as Liam Farrell wins the game for Wigan in Golden Point

Wigan Warriors left it late as hat-trick hero Liam Farrell won the game with a try in Golden Point.

Just five seconds of the first half of Golden Point remained as the Wigan skipped flew over for his third of the evening on an unbelievable night of action at Craven Park.

The win leaves Wigan sitting second in the Betfred Super League heading into Magic Weekend at Newcastle’s St James Park.

Champions look to bounce back against Leopards

St Helens travel to Leigh Sports Village on Friday night as they look to return to winning ways following their recent home defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

Leigh however come into the game off the back of their first win of the campaign and their first since their recognisable rebranding as they picked up a late victory at Craven Park against Hull KR.

Preston produce best performance under Ryan Lowe after thrashing Blackburn

As the snow fell down over East Lancashire, Blackburn Rovers were the ones who froze as Ryan Lowe’s side found their goalscoring touch at Ewood Park with a 1-4 victory.

Goals from Ben Woodburn, Ben Whiteman and another brace from a reformed Ched Evans saw a rampant North End side rise to sixth in the Sky Bet Championship.

Harry Smith stars as Wigan Warriors leave it late to lift Betfred Challenge Cup trophy

It was late drama at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Wigan Warriors won the Betfred Challenge Cup with a late try from Liam Marshall.

This meant heartbreak for Ian Watson’s Huddersfield Giants who were minutes away from their first Challenge Cup success since 1953.
